In my last post I shared a few questions which few of you connected with, maybe some images flashed across your mind or maybe some of you just regretted reading the post.

But wait, don't judge so soon. You may or may not really connect to it, but some one out there whom you know may need this.

Over-thinking, the word suggests thinking way too much. Imagine seeing a spot on your hand, googling the hell out of it and then saying " Oh! I am going to die and it's cause of Cancer!". Yes! The overthinking goes to such a level where you can't believe to what extent your thoughts wander.

Nevertheless, is this right?! Is this overthinking ever going to stop?!

Overthinking will not stop, though it can be controlled. It's bitter, but it is the truth.

However, there is a silver lining in the previous statement. It can't be stopped but it can definitely be controlled to an extent where its equivalent to stopped.

“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

First thing to control overthinking is to stop thinking about overthinking. Stop analyzing the reasons which lead to you overthinking. Yes, this seems weird. Though, this the most common problem. People always overthink about various issues and finally land up on the topic " Why do I overthink? ". Stop! As soon as you start doing this, get up and walk and do anything to distract yourself. But DO NOT THINK! This thinking will lead to a worry cycle and push you further into depression.

Let all the extra overthinking go.

Take this 1st step, and move on with your life by accepting your skill of overthinking. It's a skill not a burden. Not everyone can analyze as much as you, but let's stick to it only when necessary. What do you say? :)

Next post up soon on Few other steps to control overthinking. Stay posted :)

Also, please give some feedback. It will help me improve. You can also share your stories.
